Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a vehicle theft by a system wherein an alarm is issued in small volume to urge a driver's locking when a door is opened without locking a steering wheel, and an alarm is also issued in large volume when an engine is started without using a key.
CONSTITUTION: Where an engine is stopped running, a steering wheel is unlocked and a door is closed, a contact 5a of a steering switch 5 and a contact 6b of a door switch 6 are closed, and a normally-open contact 9a of a relay 9 is closed. A normally-open contact 11a of a relay 11 is also closed. When the door is opened under the condition described above, the contact 6b is opened, 6a is closed, and thus an alarm 10 is actuated. Since a current to the alarm 10 is decreased by a resistance 12, the alarm is given comparatively in small volume. However, when the engine is started up without using a key, the alarm 10 is actuated through a contact 5b and a negative pressure switch 7b and operates in large volume.
