Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the smooth and assured racking of the cassette tape to the cylinder of VTR or the like by giving the control to the elasticity of the initial position resetting spring of the tape guide hooking roller at the racking start and finish time of the cassette tape.
CONSTITUTION: When the cassette tape shifts to the racking position via the tape guide which shifts via the wire which is taken up to take-up reel 28 along the guide groove, slide plate 23 engaging projection pin 27 shifts according to the cassette tape to make extend the initial position resetting spring of the guide roller connected to wire 31. As a result, the elasticity of the resetting spring is small at the beginning of the tape racking and becomes maximum when the racking is over. Thus the tape guide pushes away easily the guide roller at the beginning of the tape racking and then hooked at the fixed position via the guide roller which receives transmission of the maximum elasticity from the resetting spring. Accordingly, the smooth and assured racking is secured for the cassette tape.
