Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform economical waste gas treatment with good efficiency for absorbent liquid regeneration in a simultaneous desulfurization and denitration of waste gas by treating nitrite in absorbent liquid with sulfonation and hydrolysis.
CONSTITUTION: In simultaneous desulfurization and denitration process of waste gas using thiosulfate as absorbent liquid, nitrite dut to NOx accumulates in absorbent liquid. The absorbent liquid is guided through line 12 to sulfonation-hydrolysis process 13, where heat treatment is performed at pH of 6.5 or more and temperature of 80W140°C. This causes nitrite to be fixed as sulfamic acid, and/or hydroxylamine disulfonic acid, or similar intermediate products. Thereafter, the absorbent liquid passes through lines 14, 16, 11 and is returned to the absorption process. Thus, economical desulfurization and denitration process is performed with good efficiency for absorbent regeneration.
