Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent a fault of drop down of the waving boom, by interlocking operably connecting with circuit the detecting device for a tension of the rope and the braking device for preventing the rope from freely passing a sheave.
CONSTITUTION: When broken a rope 8, a tension of the rope 8 is lost, and a guide roller 18 drops down by its own weight along a guide frame 11, and hits the switch lever of a limit switch 13. Then with the limit switch 13 becoming ON state, a solenoid valve is switched to an oil conduction position, and a pressure oil in the accumulator goes into a hydraulic cylinder device 16. In consequence, an extension of piston rod causes a rope retainer 15 to be shifted toward a sheave 10 side, finally with the rope 8 put between the sheave 10 and the rope retainer 15, and holds the rope 8. Accordingly, the rope 8 can never be detached from the sheave 10, and a boom 3 can be held without dropping down.
