Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a mechanism capable of eliminating secondary or higher mode of rotation and cancelling inertia force with ease, by providing piston with an arm extending perpendicularly to the axis of the said piston, and keeping crank pin portion in sliding contact with the arm. CONSTITUTION:Piston 1 is formed with arm 1a such that the arm 1a extends perpendicularly to the axis of piston 1 and it is reciprocated together with piston 1. Further, crank 2 is connected to arm 1a at the portion of crank pin 2c in the manner that crank pin 2c can be freely slided along the length of arm 1a. For this purpose, for instance, an elongated hole 3 is formed in arm 1a with a slide piece 4 being fitted therein, and crank pin 2c is fitted in a round hole 4a formed in the slide piece 4. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to prevent occurrence of urging force due to higher mode of rotation and thus to eliminate occurrence of vibration and noises from engine.
