Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to obtain an optimal biasing force under any operational condition of engine, by keeping one end of a spring for biasing jet needle forcibly at forced contact with a jet needle supporting member and the other end with a body cover, respectively.
CONSTITUTION: Variable venturi 2 is fitted in body 1 in freely slidable manner, and jet needle 4 having a supporting member 3 is fitted in a hole formed in the variable venturi 2. An adjustment screw 5 for adjusting the position of jet needle 4 is disposed downwardly of the supporting member 3, whereas a biasing spring 6 is disposed upwardly of the member 3. Here, one end of said spring 6 is held in forced contact with supporting member 3 and the other end is held in forced contact with spring receiving portion 8 of body cover 7. With such an arrangement, when spring 6 is compressed with lifting of variable venturi 2 and load is increased, force acted to supporting member 3 is varied. That is, relative distance between jet needle 4 and nozzle 9 is increased so that contact force can be kept at a required value.
