Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate any mechanical coupled part over a stretch from an inner- tooth gear to a pinion drive shaft and obtain a finished product of high strength with a minimum available material by forging monolithically a pinion drive shaft, an inner-tooth gear and an end wall plate connecting the former two, using the same material.
CONSTITUTION: A speed reducer 3 is connected to the front end of a stator 2 for starting motor 1, and a pinion case 4 at the front end of the said speed reducer. In addition, a rotor shaft 5 and a pinion drive shaft 7 are arranged parallel with each other provided with a predetermined mutual eccentric volume 2. A geared speed reducer 10 connecting both shafts 5, 7 together is housed in a speed reducer case. The geared speed reducer 10 is composed of a small-diameter outer-tooth gear 11 provided on the external circumference of the front end of a rotor shaft 5 and a large-diameter inner-tooth gear 13 which is engaged with the outer-tooth gear 11 connected to the rear end of a pinion drive shaft 7 through the intermediary of end wall plate 12. The pinion drive shaft 7, end wall plate 12 and inner-tooth gear 13 are forged into one solid body using the same material and integrally connecting the teeth 13a of the inner-tooth gear 13 with the end wall plate 12.
