Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure to prevent water hammer by a system wherein an auxiliary air tank having higher pressure than the main air tank is provided to supply the compressed air from the auxiliary air tank to the main air tank by means of a level gauge detecting the liquid level fluctuation within the main air tank, which discharges the compressed air from the main air tank.
CONSTITUTION: A suction tank 11 and a discharge tank 12 are connected through a compressed pipe 6 having a pump 5 and a shut valve, the midway of which is provided with the main air tank 1. The top of the main air tank 1 is joined with the pipe 8 having a valve 4 to release one end and an air pipe 7 having a valve to communicated with one end of the auxiliary air tank 2, the air pressure of which is setting higher than the air pressure of the main air tank 1. The valve is connecting with the level meter 14 to control upper limit of the liquid level within the main air tank 1 through a signal line 9, a valve 4 being connected with a level meter 15 to control lower limit of the liquid within the main air tank 1 through the signal line 10.
