Abstract

PURPOSE: To automatically detachably attach a drag rod to a hook portion of a boat in a boat loader for pushing the boat into and drawing it out of the furnace core tube of a diffusing furnace by elevationally moving automatically the drag rod to be engaged with the hook portion of the boat.
CONSTITUTION: A stationary block 20 having a stationary shaft 19 is fixed onto a boat loader drive unit 10, and a drag rod supporting block 21 is rotatably mounted on the shaft 19. A drag rod 12 is fixed at its one end to the block 21 so that the rod 12 elevationally rocks its hook end 17 around the shaft 19 as a center. A motor 28 is driven to rock the hook end 17 via a gear mechanism to thereby detachably engage the rod 12 into the hook hole 18 of the boat 11. Further, the boat loader drive unit 10 is longituidinally moved back and forth to thereby automatically pushing the boat 11 into the furnace core tube. Thus, it can improve the treating capacity of the apparatus without contaminating the interior of the core tube.
