Abstract
PURPOSE:To effectively perform the mitigation of suppression on in-phase component included in stereo signal and the extension of sound field, by controlling the variable gain amplifier to which the output of phase shifter is inputted in response to the level of the difference signal betweel L and R signals. CONSTITUTION:The L signal inputted to the L signal input terminal 1 is superimposed on the R signal at the R signal output terminal 4 via the inverter 5 and variable gain amplifier 13, and the R signal inputted to the R signal input terminal 2 is superimposed on the L signal at the L signal output terminal 3 via the inverter 6 and variable gain amplifier 14, and they are respectively outputted. The signal difference detector 12 detects the level of in-phase component with the subtraction of L and R signals, the gain control signal is outputted to the variable gain amplifier 13, 14 according to it, and if the level of in-phase component is greater, the gain is reduced, and if the level of in-phase component is smaller, it increases.
