Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for pulling out a tube of a heat exchanger, wherein a jack is interposed between an insertion rigid member and a tube plate to give the rigid member a pulling out force from the pipe plate, so that pulling out operation of the tube can be carries out in a short period.
CONSTITUTION: When a tapered and tapped bolt B is inserted into and screwed in an opening of a tube which is to be exchanged, the tapped bolt B is held deep enough into the tube to be secured. After a jack receiver S, a jack J and a washer W are put onto the tapped bolt B in this order, thses members are secured to the tube plate by a nut N. Thereafter hydraulic pressure is applied to the jack J through a hydraulic pump to extrude a piston within the jack J, then force will be exerted in the direction to separate the tapped bolt B from the tube plate through the washer W and nut N, and therefore the tapeed bolt B can be pulled out together with the tube held thereto from the tube plate.
