Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:An o-halogen substituted butyrophenone derivative shown by the formula I (Z is formula II or III) and its acceptable salts in its preparation.
EXAMPLE: 8-[ γ-( 2,4-Difluorobenzoyl )propyl ]-1-phenyl-1,3,8-triazospiro[ 4,5 ]decane-4-one.
USE: Useful in itself as a drug for a mental disease, an anodyne, a sedative, a hypotensive agent and a synthetic intermediate for a drug, e.g., a mental disease or a tranquilizer.
PREPARATION: A compound, e.g., 1-( 2,4-difluorophenyl )-1,1-ethylenedioxy-4- chlorobutane, shown by the formula IV (Y is carbonyl-protective group in the form of C=Y; X is reactive ester of alcohol) is condensed with a piperidine derivative, e.g., 1-phenyl-1,3,8-triazaspiro[4,5]decane-4-one, etc., shown by the formula H-Z in a proper solvent, and the carbonyl-protective group is hydrolyzed to give the desired compound shown by the formula I.
