Abstract

PURPOSE:To receive an ambient sound and to discriminate its arrival direction by amplifying the ambient sound inputted to a microphone and then by supplying the sum signal of the amplified sound signal and a received sound signal from a transmitter-receiver to an earphone. CONSTITUTION:By way of amplifier 11 and volume controller 12, microphone 10 is connected one input terminal of summing amplifier 13 and to the other input terminal of summing amplifier 13, receiving sound line 3 from a transmitter-receiver is connected to apply its addition output to earphone 8. Namely, an ambient sound arriving at microphone 10 is amplified by amplifier 11 to an adequate level, inputted to adder 13 via volume controller 12, and then outputted to earphone 8 being added to a received sound signal by amplifier 13. Consequently, when earphone 8 is equipped, the ambient sound can be heard to discriminate its arrival direction clearly.
