Abstract

PURPOSE: To dispense with an auxiliary power source and improve performance, by providing an electronic circuit comprising a DC reactor and a switching element between the terminals of a DC power source and applying the output of the electronic circuit to a gate transformer or the gate terminal of a semiconductor unit.
CONSTITUTION: When a transistor S is closed, a capacitor C charged at a voltage Ec is discharged through a pulse transformer T to supply a current from a power source E to apply enough power at the time of shifting of the mode of switching from the single gate power source. At that time, a current iL flows through a DC reactor L and increases with time. When the transistor S is opened, the current iT flowing through the pulse transformer T flows back through a diode D3 and decreases sharply and the current iL flowing through the reactor L passes through the diode D3 to charge the capacitor C to raise its terminal voltage. This results in supplying the enough control power at the time of shifting of the mode.
