Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a decorative board with a foamed coating effectively at a low cost compared to a conventional method by a method wherein a paint containing CaCO3 is painted on a surface of a base board and an acidic solution is coated by an appropriate means during an undried state to foam, and thereafter dried.
CONSTITUTION: A paint prepared by mixing an appropriate amount of CaCO3 with a pigment such as TiO2 or the like, a vinyl acetate emulsion synthetic resin, water and a dispersant is coated on a surface of a base board and, during an undried state of the said coated paint layer or at the same time with the coating operation, an acidic solution such as a sulfuric acid solution or the like is coated on a paint layer by a spray method or the like and a foamed coating is formed by generating CO2 gas according to a reaction of CaCO3 within a coating layer and an acid. Subsequently, the foamed coating is dried and hardened to obtain a decorative board having a foamed coating at a low cost without using a complicated coating method as a conventional method and without needing a high cost foaming material.
