Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a can having a printing label which is superior in water-resistance, anti-shock etc. and is not shrunk when the label is sterilized by applying a printing label of thermo-plastic synthetic resin film extending in two axial directions and having filling agents mixed therein. CONSTITUTION:Some filling agents of grading of about 0.5-30mu such as white clay, clay talc, gypsum, sulfuric barium, carbonic calcium and diatom earth etc. are included in such thermo-plastic resins as polyethylene, polypropyren, polyamid resins and polyester resin preferably with about 10-50wt%. Then, the resin is extended in two axial directions to make a label base member, preferably heat treated higher than a heat treatment temperature of a metal body after a label is applied, a desired printing is performed. Adhesive agent is applied to a back or rear surface of the lavel and the label is applied on the can body.
