Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain white fuel fraction in high yield, by feeding the atmospheric distillation residue of crude oil to a flash column, and feeding the gas-oil fraction together with the top distillate of the flash column into a gas-oil stripper.
CONSTITUTION: Crude oil is distilled in an atmospheric distillation column, and the bottom residue is pumped to a flash column 2 by a pump 5. The gas-oil fraction obtained by the flashing of the bottom residue is extracted from the top of the column by a pump 6. A part of the extracted gas-oil is cooled by coolers 12 and 11, and recycled to the flash column 2, and the remaining part is mixed with the top distillate of the flash column 2 stored in a reservior 13, and stripped with the gas-oil stripper. The gas-oil is collected to the bottom of the stripper.
