Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the complicated control at the assembling time by the adjustment of only one part by using the semiconductor laser as the light source and then arranging the condenser lens movably toward the optical axis for adjusting by shifting thus ensuring an easy correction of the error of the optical system caused by the temperature variation.
CONSTITUTION: The beams given from semiconductor laser 1 are focused at image formation point A through lenses 2, 3 and 4. The flat laser beam are turned into almost the square form through cylindrical lenses 3 and 4. The course is bent for the beam passed through point A by tracking mirror 7 via beam splitter 6, and the beams form the minute image of point A on the surface of disk 9 through lens 8. The greater part of the beam is transmitted through disk 9 and enters photoelectric converter 10. And part of beams reflected from disk 9 moves backward to enter photoelectric converter 11, and then the focus shift is detected on disk 9. Then control circuit 12 is actuated to move iris lens 8 up and down, and thus the focus shift can be avoided on disk 9.
