Abstract

PURPOSE:To readily mount or dismount the photoreceptor drum to or from its holding frame through simple operation by so constituting the drum holding frame that an opening in the radial direction is provided to one of a pair of end plates of the holding frame so that the drum may be pulled in the radial direction. CONSTITUTION:The holding frame A being held mounted with the photoreceptor drum B is mounted to the machine frames 1A, 1B, after which the photoreceptor drum B is removed from the holding frame A. An opening 16 in the radial direction reaching the shaft hole 15 from the outside circumference of the drum is formed to a drum end plate 7. The drum B and center shaft 13 in an assembled state may be removed through this opening 16. Since a set-screw 22 is provided, the drum cannot be removed from the holding frame unless the screw 22 is removed, hence the danger of inadvertently dropping the photoreceptor at the mounting or dismounting of the drum is averted.
