Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a semiconductor controller which prevents a dangerous mode by keeping on sending an output continuously when control performance is lost due to malfunction or break-down of an electronic circuit.
CONSTITUTION: Magnetron 1 of a controlled unit such as an electronic oven is controlled by this invented semiconductor controller 4. Magnetron 1 is supplied with power via door switch 2 and relay switch 3 controlled by controller 4. While control unit 4 is in normal operation, coil 14 of relay switch 3 is controlled by a pulse output from terminal R of CPU5. This output pulse drives coil 14 by way of a differentiating circuit, rectifier circuit and integrating circuit. When CPU5 malfunctions to hold the output of terminal R at a constant level, the driving of coil 14 is stopped and magnetron 1 stops the operation.
