Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain strip tensiton constantly in each sections by a mechanism wherein strip tension within plural sections of a continuous annealing furnace is detected and magnetic field of an indivisual helper roll drive motor by the deviation of the detected value and a setting value. CONSTITUTION:In a continuous annealing furnace having each section of a heating zone 5, an uniformly heating zone 6, a rapidly cooling zone 7. A reheating zone 8, a cooling zone 9, a strip 1 is continuously annealed. Thnsion detecting values TD1-TD5 obtained by detecting strip tension of each section by a tension detector 241-245 and tension setting signals TS1-TS5 are sent to a tension comparator 171-175 and the deviation signals of both values is sent to a tension control apparatus 18. Subsequently, an electric current standards of each motors 31-3n are corrected by a section electric current control apparatus 19 and each electric current standard values are compared to electric current detecting values CS1-CS5 of an indivisual drive motor by a motor current control apparatus 20, thereby, magnetic field electric current standard value is corrected and the output is taken out. By this standard value, a magnetic field electric current control apparatus 211-21n passes electric current to a magnetic field wound wire 221-22n and strip tension between each helper rolls 4 is controlled.
