Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the unit small in size and low in cost, by using the number of rotation ratio of the supply reel and the winding reel and performing various controls for the both reel drive units as a bundle.
CONSTITUTION: The output signals nS, nT of the reel number of rotation detectors 10, 11 of the supply reel 1 and winding reel 2 are the signal nS/nT via the operation circuit 12. This signal is the tape speed signal Vt via the operation circuits 16, 17, 13 and fed to the comparison circuit 14. The comparison circuit 14 compares the tape speed Vt with the set tape speed Vto, and the difference signal ΔVt is fed to the winding motor 6 via the winding motor control circuit 15 and winding motor drive circuit 18 to keep the tape speed at the set value V0. Further, the tape end is detected from the value of nS/nT and the motor can be stopped at playing or fast feed. Thus, various controls are performed at a bundle from the value of nS/nT and the unit can be made small in size and low in cost.
