Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive foamed article with excellent pressure-sensitive adhesivity, coagulating property, heat resistance as well as good water-proofness, sound-proofness, wind-proofness and heat resistance in a compressed condition by heating, foaming and cross-linking a mixture containing an acrylic low molecular copolymer, polyisocyanate and a foaming agent.
CONSTITUTION: To 100pts.wt. of acylic low molecular copolymer having reactivity against isocyanate, preferably 20W200pts.wt. of polyisocyanate and preferably 5W 50pts.wt. of a foaming agent are compounded and the obtained stock material mixture is heated, foamed and cross-linked. A low molecular copolymer to be used is preferably a copolymer of which an average M.W. is below 10,000 and the average number of functional groups is 1.6W2.4 per molecule. As a foaming agent, azodicarbonamide, dinitropentamethylenetetramine or the like are used and as polyisocyanate, the use of difunctional isocyanate is preferred.
