Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a good quality tackifier for block copolymer of vinyl aromatic compound and conjugated diene compund by forming a graft copolymer consisting of a tackfier having a glass transition point higher than room temperature and conjugated diene compound.
CONSTITUTION: To provide the object tackifier for block copolymer, a tackifier having an average molecular weight of about 500W5000 and a glass transition point higher than room temperature, such as terpene resin, 5W9C petroleum resin, rosin ester resin is graft-polymerized with a conjugated diene compund such as butadiene, isoprene, etc. To provide a hot melt self-adhesive composition, to 100pts.wt. of a vinyl aromatic compound-conjugated diene compound block copolymer elastomer, about 20W200pts.wt. or preferably about 50W120pts.wt. of the tackifier for block copolymer, and a process oil in amount of a maximum of 150phr if naphthenic one is used, or in amount of a maximum of 50phr if aromatic one is used, are added.
