Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the laminated polarizing film which is superior in light transmittance, durability and workability and is difficult to occur whitening owing to bending by laminating alkyl-methacrylate-base multilayer structure polymer on polyene-base polarizing film as a protecting layer.
CONSTITUTION: The multilayer structure alkyl methacrylate-base polymer of about 400W2000Å in final particle size which comprises disposing the resin layers composed primarily of lower alkyl methacrylate on the inner and outer sides of a rubber layer composed of lower alkyl acrylate and further interposing the intermediate layer having the glass transition temperature of nearly the intermediate of these between the rubber layer and outermost layers, is used. More specifically, such a polyene- base polarizing film as the one obtained by subjecting vinyl-halide-base polymer to dehydrohalogenation and uniaxially orienting this is bonded thereon with the films of the abovementioned alkyl-methacrylate-base multilayer structure polymer through direct heating fusion bonding or by means of adhesive agents to provide the laminated polarizing film.
