Abstract

PURPOSE: To wash a supercharger turbine effectively without decelerating an engine and within a short time as well by using an inflammable solid particle instead of clear water for cleaning agnet of the supercharger turbine.
CONSTITUTION: To wash a supercharger turbine during its operation, a stop valve 32 for pressurized fluid and a stop valve 31 for solid particle feeding are closed first to demount a cap 22, and a vessel 21 for a turbine washing device 20 is filled with an inflammable solid particle 25. Next, the valves 32, 31 are opened in that order to feed the solid particle 25 by a pressure of pressurized fluid injected into the vessel 21 from a pressurized fluid source 26 into an exhaust manifold collecting pipe 14 through a pipe 24. The particle 25 thus scatters peripherally together with the exhaust gas into an injection nozzle blade 15 of a supercharger 10 and further cllides with a turbine blade 16 to washing. After that, the particle 25 is burned almost completely and comes to a smokestack passage by way of an exhaust piping.
