Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the workability and aging crack resistance of a low Ni steel by specifying the contents of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr and Cu in the steel.
CONSTITUTION: A steel consisting of C≤0.05%, Si≤1.0%, Ni 8.0W9.5%, Cr 16W20%, Cu 0.2W1.0%, N 0.03W0.10%, and the balance Fe and inevitable impurities is refined, hot rolled, cold rolled, and annealed to manufacture a steel plate. In this plate importance is attached esp. to the contents of C, N, Ni and Cu, and by selecting this compsn. range, a product is obtd. which is superior to a general- purpose austenite stainless steel plate in workability, aging crack resistance and economical advantages.
