Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain a data transmission speed approximating a linear forecasting coder by coding directly the waveform of an input signal and assigning one bit per each input signal according to a parallel tree search method to code it.
CONSTITUTION: A binary code string corresponding t branches of a tree is outputted from terminal 2 by the input signal applied to terminal 1 and is sent to shift register 3 and is added and is led to electronic switch 8 through probability density function converter 4 and self-recurrent moving average type digital filter 5. Meanwhile, unit 6 of search algorithm generates a code concerning transition between binary code values of terminal 2 and parallel trees, and the position of electronic switch 8 is determined by code generation circyit 7 to obtain an optimum demodulation signal. That is, the waveform of the input signal is directly coded, and one bit is assigned per each input signal according to a parallel tree search method to code it, so that a low data transmission speed approximating a linear forecasting coder can be obtained.
