Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect a high voltage and a beam current to prevent radiation of X- rays and reduce the number of parts to eliminate irregularity of an operation start voltage by providing a voltage detection winding on a fly-back transformer. CONSTITUTION:When a high voltage rises by any cause, the pulse voltage of detection winding T1 rises to raise the gate voltage of thyristor 5. When the voltage of thyristor 5 is lowered below the anode voltage, thyristor 5 becomes conductive. Therefore, horizontal oscillation of horizontal oscillator circuit 1 is stopped, and no high voltage is generated from high-voltae winding T2 of fly-back transformer T. The high voltage value which causes horizontal oscillation to stop can be set arbitrarily by selecting resistances R9 and R10. Meanwhile, when a beam current is increased, the voltage of the negative-side terminal of high-voltage winding T2 becomes negative, and the gate voltage of thyristor 5 is lowered through resistance R11 due to current feedback, and thyristor 5 is made conductive with a lower voltage, and the operation start voltage to stop horizontal oscillation is lowered. By this constitution, the number of parts of the circuit can be reduced, and irregularity of the operation start voltage can be reduced.
