Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a sludge extracting equipment capable of automatically extract the same amount of sludge as the pump sludge extractinf capacity from the settlement tank to sedimentation tank.
CONSTITUTION: One end 11b of drawing pipe 11 is covered with cylindrical body 12 which connects to pipes 16, 15. From pipe 17 compressed air is supplied with a pressure higher than head H1. Then, the pressure in the cylinder 12 becomes H1= P1. This causes the differential pressure between P1 and P0 that corresponds to the head H0 to extract the sludge in sludge sump 2 from the end 11a of the pipe, through the pipe 11 and to discharge it from the other end 11b. Accordingly, the sludge is extracted in proportion to the liquid level 13 which changes with the changes in the amount of sludge sent by the pump 4.
