Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide efficient heating of adsorbent during decompression regeneration and reduce loss of energy required for adsorber, in a method and apparatus for adsorption used, e.g., for removing water contained in air, organic solvent, or the like.
CONSTITUTION: In an adsorption method wherein a fluid to be treated is passed through a system consisting of interconnected adsorption layers 2A and 2B for adsorption of specified components and the adsorption layers after adsorption are regenerated by decompression, the heat of adsorption generated in the layer 2A during adsorption step is used for heating the layer 2B through a thermo-coil 8 or the like during regeneration step.
