Abstract

PURPOSE: To make repair painting without causing defects on the peripheral part of a polyester putty, by coating a plural-layer film on a previously treated recess and projection part of an automobile body starting with a primer surfacer and then coating the polyester putty.
CONSTITUTION: Previous treatment such as sheet metal processing is effected on a recess and projection part of an automobile body to be repaired. Primer surfaces of different colors such as white and another color are coated on each other on the previously treated part so that a plural-layer coating film is produced. A metal sheet processing putty is filled in the recess. A polyester putty is coated. Final painting is effected. The recess and projection part is thus repaired. This results in preventing putty defects such as the contraction of final coated film on the peripheral part of the polyester putty.
