Abstract

CONSTITUTION: In the respective stands S4WS6 of the post stage, the control amounts of the plate crown of the respective stands S4WS6 are forecast and operated in an arithmetic unit 12 with the widths b1Wb6 of the shape blind zone in each stand as data and the plate crowns are independently controlled within the individual shape blind zones in the respective stands by controlling pressure regulating valves 10 with respective pressure indicators 11. Here, the allowable range of the shapes is widened except in the final stand S6 and the plate crowns are controlled at the large plate crown control amounts within the practicable blind zones. In the final stand S6, the plate crown control is accomplished within the shape absolute blind zone. Thereby, the plate crown control amount in the final stand may be expanded.
