Abstract
PURPOSE: To automate a series of operations of conveying, positioning and bending by moving the plate-form body grippers to the vicinity of the bending machine.
CONSTITUTION: An actuator 55e is extended to attract a plate-for body W which is then dropped onto the top surface at the front of a conveyor device 53 and is conveyed to the rear part of the conveyor device 54. An actuator 56a is extended to replace the plate-form body W on a table 56d. The right and left portions of the plate-form body W are gripped with grips 28 by extending the actuators. The bending position of the plate-form body W with respect to the bending machine 1 is determined. A die 1b is lowered to once hold the plate-form body W in place by the dies 1a, 1b. The grips 28 are opened by contracting the actuators to release the gripping of the plate-form body W, after which an actuator 30 is extended to close the grips 28. The die 1b is lowered to bend the plate-form body W. The plate-form body W is gripped with grips 48 and at the same time the actuator 56a is contracted to lower the table 56d to the original position. Further necessary working is done depending upon the shape of the product.
