Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a direct watching of a deep pit with a long-sized arm positioned vertically, by movably locating a fitting frame at a guide member situated at a side surface of the long-sized arm and by fixing a depth watching mirror at the fitting frame at a disired angle.
CONSTITUTION: A guide member 20 is located at a side surface of a long-sized boom 10 supported at a connection pin 13 placed at the end of an excavator boom 1, a fitting frame 21, which travels along a guide rail, being situated at the guide member 20. A depth watch mirror 15 is located at the fitting frame 21 with the long-sized boom positioned vertically by adjusting an angle of the mirror so that an operator in an operator's sest can easily watch the depth. A suspension rope 35 fastened at the fitting frame 21 is hung down passing through a shieve 25 and around shieve groups 33 and 31, the end thereof being secured at the end of an extension member 14 of the boom 1. The ratio of a distance between a center of the connection pin 13 and the end of the extension member 14 to a distance between a center of a foot pin 12 and a center of the connection pin 13 shall be equal to the number of the ropes 35 wound around the shieve groups 33 and 31. This causes the watching mirror 15 to be always kept in a constant height above the ground and at a visible angle.
