Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:The title dye of formula I [A, A' are phenylene or naphthylene residue of a diazo compound; B, B' are copuling components; a, a' are -O-, -NH-, -NQ- (Q is alkyl), etc. bonded to the o-position of the azo group; b, b' are -O-, -NH-, -NQ-, etc. bonded to the C atom adjacent to the C atom bonded to the azo group; M is Cr or Co; Z+ is ammonium ion, alkali metal ion, or II(R1 is 7W17C aliphatic hydrocarbon), n is 1W6].
EXAMPLE: A 1:2-type Cr-containing azo dye of formula III.
USE: Coloring of ink composition, lacquer, synthetic resin, wood, wax, etc.
PROCESS: The objective compound I is prepared by converting the acid dye composed of 1:2-type metal-containing azo compound of formula IV to a salt with an inorganic acid salt of an imidazoline derivative of formula V.
