Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise heat recovering efficiency of a heat exchanger, by laminating a plurality of fins in the manner that air passages intersect each other, and passing heat transfer medium through holes formed in the fins.
CONSTITUTION: A multiplicity of fins having fin collars 92 formed on flat portion 91 and staggered portions 93 formed on opposite side portions are laminated on each other in the manner displaced at 90 degrees alternately, and heat transmitting tubes 6 are fitted in the fin collars 92 in tight contact with the same. Further, side plates 10 are attached to the assembly of fins 9 and tubes 6. In heat recovering operation of the heat exchanger arranged as above, air 111 and 121 introduced into respective air passage 11, 12 formed between fins 9 exchange heat with each other. Further, in air-conditioning operation when heat transfer medium is passed through tubes 6 in association with operation of an air passage switching mechanism consisting of damper or the like, heat exchange is caused between air 111, 121 and heat transfer medium and then air 111, 121 is discharged as air 112 and 122, respectively. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to increase velocity and flow rate of air and also to increase the length of air passages, so that heat recovering efficiency can be enhanced.
