Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the instrumentation error of fuel instrumentation due to a difference in temperature by measuring the time when an internal combustion engine consumes fuel while a temperature correction is made, by detecting the temperature of fuel supplied to the engine.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel instrumentation command from command part 7 is supplied to system control part 18 to close valve 5. A supply fuel temperature is detected by thermocouple 26 and converted into a voltage level, which compared with a reference temperature by fuel supply temperature correction circuit part 22 and processed by being added to the set value of correction coefficient setting part 21. The processing result is displayed as a fuel time correction value by fuel instrumentation display part 10 by way of output circuit 19. On the other hand, as engine 1 consumes fuel, the fuel liquid level of buret pipe 12 falls to turn photoelectric switch 15 ON, and consequently the gate of CP generating circuit part 20 is opened to start to count the consuming time. When the liquid level of buret pipe 22 falls continuously, photoelectric switch 16 turns ON to close the gate of circuit part 20, and then the counting operation is stopped, so that the fuel consuming time will be displayed by display part 10 with its temperature correction made.
