Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to detect load torque easily by detecting the phase current of a three-phase induction motor driven by a pulse-width modulation type inverter circuit.
CONSTITUTION: Speed control over three-phase induction motor 1 is exercised by controlling the output voltage of pulse-width modulation type inverter 2 by voltage command signal VS/VF fixed at a rate of operating frequency command signal VF of inverter 2 to speed error signal VS. Then, current detecting resistance 21 is connected in series to one phase of three-phase induction motor 1 like this to detect variation in load current due to variation in input voltage as a voltage across resistor 21. Then, this detected voltage is rectified by rectifier circuit 22 and measured and displayed by DC ammeter 23. Further, an AC ammeter as a measuring method can be connected direct across resistor 21.
