Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a captioned film having an uniform thickness in longitudinally and circumferentially by a method wherein a beginning point of elongation in a longitudinal direction is fixed at a constant position and thereby a generation of ununiform necking in a circumferential direction of a tubular film not yet elongated is prevented. CONSTITUTION:A thermo plastic molten film F1 is cooled on an air ring 2 and a cooling mandrel 3 under being inflated by an air pressure from air pipings a1-3, and is changed into a tubular film F2 not yet elongated. The film F2 is heated on a preheating mandrel 5 through a low-speed nipple roll 4 and becomes to be a tubular film F3 not yet elongated, subsequently, is elongated along its longitudinal axis between a cylindrical mandrel 6 and a high-speed nipple roll 9. In this case, transmission of an elongating force is controlled by a vacuum pressure of slits V1, V2 for the cylindrical mandrel 6, thereby, a contracting force in a circumferential direction is reduced, while a begining point of elongation is fixed and uniformed by fixing at a constant position on a terminal portion of a peripheral wall of the cylindrical mandrel 6, further, an internal pressure of the elongated tubular film F4 is being controlled, therefor, a thermo plastic, tubular film, elongated in one axis and having an uniform thickness, may be obtained.
