Abstract

PURPOSE: To adjust automatically the printing pressure at Japanese electrical typewriter according to number of strokes of a Japanese character by using the elastic deformation property of a printing lever by a mechanism wherein a push rod with a different length corresponding to number of strokes in a character and an elastic printing lever to push the said rod are provided at the bottom side of a type.
CONSTITUTION: A printing lever 15 is provided for the bottom side of a printing rod 8 that allows to print by pushing a letter key of Japanese electrical typewriter, and the other end of the printing lever 15 is joined with a cam 17 driven by a motor by means of an elastic plate 18. The actuation force of the printing rod 8 is proportional to the elastic deformation of an elastic plate 18 according to the displacement length of 8. When the printing push rod 20 of the bottom side of the type 19 is long, the deformation of the elastic plate 18 of the printing lever 15 will become large to increase the printing pressure. When the type push rod 20 is short, it will be reversed. Thus, this enables to change automatically the printing pressure by changing the length of the type push rod 20 according to the number of strokes in a Japanese character.
