Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the safety by providing some extent of a boosting function at malfunction by a mechanism wherein a lift cylinder internal pressure is allowed to apply to the booster chamber for the shortage of operating oil due to malfunction of a pump.
CONSTITUTION: On operating a brake pedal 19, a spool 42 is displaced to the right by means of a rod 66 to permit a throttle valve 49 to throttle the operation oil flow passing therethrough. This allows to produce the hydraulic pressure at upper stream thereof, where the hydraulic pressure is applying to a boost chamber 32 passing through groove 29a and perforations 42i, 42g, 42h that produce a large braking hydraulic pressure by pushing the right and end of the power piston 29. In this case, for the shortage of operating oil due to malfunction of a pump 1, the flange 33a of a rod 33 allows to strike a shock absorber 45 to open an operating valve 51. Consequently, a control valve is opened, and the throttle valve 49 and a return valve 50 are closed, permitting the hydraulic pressure within the lift cylinder to apply to the boost chamber 32 by passing through port 54, vertical groove 29j, and perforation 29p and the like.
