CONSTITUTION: One mole of diphenol adduct of isomerized alphapinene shown by a formula and 1.0W1.8mol, preferably 1.2W1.6mol of formaldehyde are reacted in the presence of 0.002W0.004mol of an acidic catalyst such as oxalic acid or hydrogen chloride.
