Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a title adhesive to allow quantitative determination of preservatives in so-treated veneer and to facilitate quality control, by allowing a specified small amount of metal cpd. to be incorporated.
CONSTITUTION: In production of preservative-treated veneer, an adhesive is used, which contains antiseptic, antimold, moth-proof, and fire-proof agents not contng. metal component and which is compounded with metal cpd. so as to give 0.001wt% or more of metal content. This allows quick confirmation whether preservative- treated veneer is treated with chemicals, by means of decomposition of sample using known wet or dry method and known quantitative analysis. By this method, quantitative analysis of wood preservative is made possible and thus quality control is facilitated.
