Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the heat exchanging efficiency and reduce production costs by a construction wherein a heating pipe is constructed in such a way that it touches an outside tube, and chambers for ascending and descending gases are formed as gas flowing channel in an inverse V shape. CONSTITUTION:When a hot water storage tank 4 and a heating pipe 9 are supplied with water via a feed pipe 12, and heated by a burner 7, a combustion gas goes up through a chamber 13 for a ascending gas, hitting the bottom of the hot water storage tank 4 while spreading thereon, descends within a chamber 14 for a combustion gas formed by a heating pipe 9 on the interior surface of an outside tube 2 and an inside tube 19, and heats water in the hot water storage tank 4 and the heating pipe 9 by means of conductive heat and radiant heat, then the gas is discharged from a drainageway 15. When the temperature of hot water in the hot water storage tank 4 reaches a certain level, a thermostat works to control the burner 7 intermittently so that the hot water in the hot water storage tank 4 is kept at a certain temperature. Ventilating power in a channel for the combustion gas is brought into a suspended state by equalizing the hights of a flame supplying portion and a gas discharging outlet. Thus the radiation of heat toward the outside is controlled and the cost can be reduced when it is used for a long period of time.
