Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate light quantity control as well as to prevent control range from impairing due to fine adjustment, by enabling upward and downward shift of the central level of control range without changing controllable light quantity range. CONSTITUTION:Variable resistor VR2 for setting exposure is arranged on the operation panel of a copier as an exposure dial, and variable resistor VR3 is controlled so as to set the central value to adequate one. Lamp L is a halogen lamp, and it is controlled so as to give a constant light quantity even when the lamp light quantity changes on fluctuating of the voltage to be applied to the lamp. When constant lighting is kept under the control of variable resistors VR1 and VR2, the central level of the set light quantity control range can be shifted, by controlling variable resistor VR3, permitting easy control of light quantity.
