Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the creasing of ink master material and degradation of picture quality by providing carrier means to the ink master material side when copy is thermally transferred and recorded while ink master material and acceptance sheet are carried. CONSTITUTION:For instance, ink layer of 6 microns thickness is applied on 12 micron thick mylarsheet to make ink master material 11. In addition, it is caused to be adhered to 70 micron thick ordinary paper as acceptance sheet 12. Then the latter is made to pass between thermal head 13 and rubber roller for pressure contact 14 to perform thermal tansfer printing and recording. Following this procedure, acceptance sheet 12 is stripped off with stripping instrument 15 and at the same time, ink master material 11 is held between drive roller 16 and pinch roller 17 and carried in such state.
