Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the memory using frequency and increase the life time along with a compact design by writing the running distance data into the nonvolatile memory when the reduction of the power voltage is detected and then reading the data when the power voltage is recovered.
CONSTITUTION: In case the voltage of power source 6 is normal, the division voltage of resistances 10 and 10' at command part 4 is higher than the reference level. And the output of differential amplifier 15 becomes negative with no actuation of nonvolatile memory 5. And the running distance data given from integrating part 2 is sent to driving circuit 8 to be displayed at display part 7. With reduction of the voltage of power source 6, capacitor 12 starts discharging. Thus memory 5 and the counter of integrator 2 are driven to avoid discontinuation of operation. At the same time, the data is memorized in memory 5 via timer 17. When the voltage of power source 6 is recovered, capacitor 12 is charged. Thus the data is read out of memory 5 and then added as the preset vaule to be displayed.
