Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain the temperature of a light source for original lighting constant by performing temperature controlling with a heat pipe with cooling fins provided in the lengthwise direction of a reflecting shade for light collection. CONSTITUTION:A heat pipe 1 mounted with disc-form fins 3 at the end part of a casing 2 is buried in part of the reflecting shade 5 of a halogen lamp 4 being a light source. The giving and receiving of heat of high efficiency are accomplished between the heat pipe 1 and reflecting shade 5. This makes it possible to maintain the temperature of the light source constant through natural heat radiation of the fins of the heat pipe 1 without using any cooling fan for preventing the temperature rise of the light source. If the fins are heated, the temperature may be readily elevated.
