Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a polyurethane elastomer composition having excellent resistance to aging under light, by adding a specific azo compound to a polyurethane elastomer.
CONSTITUTION: A polyurethane elastomer obtained by the reaction of a glycol such as polyester glycol, polyether glycol, etc. with an organic diisocyanate and a chain extender having two or more active hydrogen atoms, is dissolved to a solvent such as toluene, methyl ethyl ketone, etc., and the solution is added with 0.1W10 wt% of an azo compound having a proton donative group such as OH, amino, etc. The azo compound is, e.g. p-hydroxyazobenzene, Alizarin Yellow R, etc.
